Didi Gregorius is Ridiculous

Didi Gregorius just hit his ninth home run of the season, and extended his home run streak to four games. He is slugging .831, and getting on base at a .454 clip. Gregorius, who at 6″ 3′, 205 LB is not small, is sandwiched between two giants in the Yankees batting order. The Yankees shortstop in out slugging both the big guys.

At the end of his age 25 season, Gregorius was hitting .253/.316/.368, and he looked like his career would be as a great defensive player. He upped his home runs to 20 in 2016, then 25 in 2017, and now he added walks to his arsenal and may be the best overall position player this season. As of this morning, he was neck and neck with Mike Trout. Wow.

The Yankees lead the Twins 5-2 in the bottom of the third on a three-run homer by Tyler Austin.
