The Tigers beat the Orioles 13 to 8 as the team combined for 32 hits, 16 for extra bases. Alex Cobb‘s ERA allowed seven runs, five earned, in 3 1/3 innings and saw his ERA fall to 15.43. Jordan Zimmermann allowed four earned runs in 5 1/3 innings, and saw his ERA fall to 7.71. It’s a dad day when two starters can pitch poorly and improve their ERAs.
The Tigers won three in a row as they try to climb back into the AL Central race.
