The Indians return to the US mainland to square off against the Orioles. Trevor Bauer takes on Dylan Bundy. Bauer tends to give up long balls, but in 2018 he allowed just one home run in 20 innings. In his career, he allowed six home runs at Camden Yards in just 15 1/3 innings. Bundy is 0-2 despite a 1.40 ERA as the Orioles scored a total of seven runs in his four starts.
The last game of the day pits the Nationals against the Dodgers in a marquee match-up as Max Scherzer faces on Clayton Kershaw. Scherzer moved to the National League in 2015. Since the start of that season, Kershaw ranks one and Scherzer ranks three in ERA. There is a huge gap, however, as Kershaw comes in at 2.05, Scherzer 2.71. Scherzer is ahead in strikeout rate, but Kershaw is better at limiting walks and home runs. It’s worth staying up late for this one.
