Jose Berrios faces CC Sabathia as the Twins continue their series with the Yankees. Berrios is off to a great start in this third season in the majors. He started with 5.4 BB per 9 IP in his first year, reduced it to 3.0 in his second season, and now has walked just one batter in 27 2/3 2018 innings. Sabathia is not pitching much in games, but he is also not getting damaged much as he comes into this contest with four runs allowed in three starts covering 13 1/3 innings.
The Astros get to face Shohei Ohtani while the Angels try to pour it on Charlie Morton. Ohtani left his last start with a blister, and his poor performance raised his ERA to 3.60. His 19 K and four walks in 15 innings still stands as a good sign for the rest of the season. Morton keeps ramping up his Ks, with 33 strikeouts in 25 innings this season. That K per 9 rate is in the top ten.
