The Rockies powered their way past the Giants 10-6 Wednesday night as Colorado collected 18 hits, 12 of which went for extra bases. Nolan Arenado hit two home runs, Gerardo Parra hit two doubles, and just to show there’s more to the story than homers, Trevor Story hit two triples! (Arenado missed the cycle by a triple.) Nine of Story’s 12 hits have gone for extra bases, and he has yet to double.
The Rockies are now slugging .592 as a team, and an even more amazing .624 on the road. If the Rockies can hit on the road this season, that will make a big difference in their final record.
