Another Elbow Bites the Dust

The Angels announced that Nick Tropeano tore his ulnar collateral ligament. He is the third Angels pitcher this season to suffer collateral damage.

Tropeano joins Garrett Richards and Andrew Heaney with torn UCLs. Heaney has had Tommy John surgery, while Richards is hoping rest will help him avoid it.

C.J. Wilson also hasn’t pitched for the Angels in 2016. The $77.5 million left-hander had surgery on his problematic shoulder earlier this month, likely ending his season.

It’s tough for any team to suffer losing four-fifths of their rotation.
