As you probably know, the San Diego Padres are the only franchise in the majors that never had a pitcher throw a no-hitter. Andrew Cashner is perfect against the Cardinals through four innings. It’s early, but you may want to see history if it happens. Cashner struck out five using just 46 pitches. The Padres take the lead in the top of the fifth, 1-0.
Update: The Padres add another run in the fifth for a 2-0 lead. Yadier Molina, with one out in the bottom of the fifth, dumps a single into left to break up the no-no.
