Offense falls for the third week in a row as MLB games produced 8.78 runs per game in full week 19. Compared to the same point in 2017, scoring remains down, 8.90 runs per game this season versus 9.31 runs per game last season. It’s almost all home runs, as there have been 355 fewer home runs in 17 more games. Strikeouts appear to be coming down a bit, as 2018 leads 2017 16.89 per nine compared to 16.48 per nine.
