Alex Bregman homered and singled Sunday night as he maintains the top position in the Baseball Musings Batter Rankings. Christian Yelich hit a grand slam to stay in second, Justin Turner drew a walk, Mike Trout singled and walked, while Paul Goldschmidt hit two singles and drew a walk for fifth. Yelich and Turner swapped slots in the rankings.
Alex Rodriguez mentioned that he thought Bregman was the best hitter on the Astros right now. He probably should have taken it a step further. I also enjoyed the Bregman interview on how he swings at various pitches, and the fact he can recognize pitches and adjust his swing that quickly is impressive.
