Brewers Clinch

The Brewers beat the Cardinals 2-1 to clinch at least a wild card in the National League. They last reached the post-season in 2011. Their winter acquisitions of Christian Yelich and Lorenzo Cain certainly paid dividends.

The Brewers sweep puts the Cardinals on the outside looking in at the wild card race. They have a day off, then travel to Chicago to face the Cubs in the last series of the year. The Cubs will be fighting for the division, while the Cardinals just try to stay alive, so it should be a great series between two long-time rivals.
