Aaron Hicks comes up in the bottom of the 11th with a man on first, the Yankees tied 2-2 with the Orioles. He fouls a ball off his ankle and collapses to the ground. He then lines a double down the leftfield line and Didi Gregorius scores the winning run. With the loss by the Tampa Bay Rays earlier in the afternoon, that walk-off double puts the Yankees into the playoffs as a wild card team. Congratulations to the Yankees on their 95th win and their playoff berth. In many years, that would be more than enough to win a division.
