Howie Kendrick made a catch near the wall in leftfield in the top of the 8th inning, then sits down on the ground with a leg injury. It might be to his Achilles tendon. In the bottom of the seventh, Kendrick led off with what looked like a sure double, but was thrown out easily at second base. I wondered at the time if something was wrong, since he didn’t appear to be full speed. He didn’t crash into a wall, at worse he turned an ankle. We’ll have to wait to find out the seriousness of the injury.
The Dodgers lead the Nationals 4-1 in the top of the eighth inning.
