The post-break period kicks off with an ESPN exclusive as the Cardinals travel to Chicago to take on the Cubs. Carlos Martinez faces Kyle Hendricks. Martinez is a consistent pitcher. In three of the last four seasons his ERA stood between 3.00 and 3.10, including his 3.08 this year. He is just 1-2 at Wrigley Field in his career, with a high walk rate helping raise his ERA. Hendricks home run rate exploded this season, in a year when long balls are down a bit. It does not appear to be the park, as he allowed nine at home in 56 2/3 innings, eight on the road in 53 2/3 innings.
