Late Wins

The Blue Jays and the Rays each staged late comebacks to win their games. Toronto trailed 4-1 in the bottom of the eighth inning, but scored four times in that frame. Brad Brach and Tanner Scott both allowed two-run homers in the inning as the Orioles bullpen did not have the depth to save the game.

The Rays trailed the Marlins 4-1 from the third inning through the eighth, then Tampa Bay scored five times in the bottom of the ninth to walk-off with the win. Daniel Robertson blasted a pinch-hit grand slam to win the game off Kyle Barraclough. It was the 13th home run of Robertson’s short career, and his second grand slam. The Marlins and Orioles are both having rough seasons, and games like these really hurt.
