Brewers starting pitcher Brent Suter needs Tommy John surgery:
Suter allowed six runs against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Sunday, before departing after three innings with forearm tightness.
The Brewers have recalled right-handed pitcher Jorge López from the Colorado Springs Sky Sox (AAA).
Suter was the fourth starter on the team, with a 4.36 ERA this season. Lopez walked 13 batters in 16 2/3 innings as a reliever for the Brewers this year. He walked 10 in 28 2/3 innings at AAA.
