Sean Kinda Rhymes with Don

Sean Newcomb allowed one hit and no runs Sunday afternoon as the Braves beat the Marlins 4-3.

Newcomb (4-1) has pitched 20 consecutive scoreless innings and last allowed a run on April 26.

Unlike scoreless streaks of the past, Newcomb is not pitching shutouts. Five hits in his last 19 innings is very good, however.

Meanwhile, Fernando Romero allows his first MLB run in the fifth inning against the Angels. The Twins starter finished 15 2/3 scoreless innings before the run.
