The Downside of MLB Premium TV

For the last few weeks, once the games get beyond the second or third inning, an advertisement for Keytruda comes on. This is a drug that appears to be effective against lung cancer, or maybe it’s the constant pounding of that information in my head that convinced me of that.

I appreciate that putting ads between the innings keeps the cost of MLB.TV down. Since I’ve seen this one about a million times, I would really love to opt out of it. I know the side effects. I know which gene some needs to have the drug work. The evil part of me doesn’t feel sorry for the guy with advanced small cell lung cancer, since he is young enough to have been alive the entire time a pack of cigarettes blared a cancer warning.

It’s not a good ad. It’s sappy and boring, and the side effects announcement makes me believe that everyone who takes this drug will suffer something. Stop it, just stop it.
