Empty the Bullpen

The Angels beat the Athletics 11-9 in eleven innings, the Angels setting an American League record. They used 12 pitchers in a game, breaking the AL record of 11 held by four teams. The last to do it was Tampa Bay on 9/20/2013. LAnaheim held a two-run lead in the bottom of the ninth, but Matt Olson hit his second home run of the game to tie it. The A’s loaded the bases in the bottom of the 11th but could not score as the 12th pitcher for the Angels got the job done.
