The Cubs seemed to react well to the fifth inning ejections. It took an inning, but Chicago scored seven runs in the bottom of the sixth to beat the Cardinals 8-2. After Anthony Rizzo collected three hits Thursday night, Kris Bryant homered and singled twice in the day game. The Cubs have scored 47 runs in their last four games after scoring just three in the three previous games. In fact, it’s been a bit of feast or famine for the team this September, as they scored eight or more runs six times, and three runs or less in the other eight games.
