The Indians remain unstoppable, as they beat the Tigers 5-3 Wednesday afternoon. That gives Cleveland 21 consecutive wins, a new American League record. They finish the season series against the Tigers with a 13-6 record, outscoring them 110 to 62. Buck Farmer of Detroit gave up a three-run home run in the first inning. Of the seven home runs he allowed, six came with men on base. Mike Clevinger gets the win, and is 4-0 against the Tigers in four starts, allowing four runs, two earned, in 23 2/3 innings. Cleveland hosts the Royals tomorrow.
