Let’s Go Tribe responds to the the Indians blowing a 4-0 lead in the ninth inning as the Reds win 7-4:
Josh Tomlin heads to disabled list; Indians bullpen honors him by pitching like him
Trevor Bauer pitched eight stellar innings, allowing three hits and four walks while striking out 12. The bullpen then gave up seven runs in the top of the ninth.
The Reds have put together a nice month, 19-8 starting on June 10th. That the best record in the NL in that time, and only the Astros and Red Sox have better records in the majors. There’s not a lot of luck involved, either as their run difference of +49 is also third best in the majors.
The Reds are ten games out of the wild card. We’ll see if they can keep up this pace and make the NL races even more interesting.
