The first place Indians visit the resurgent Orioles with Corey Kluber facing Dylan Bundy. Kluber’s 4.15 ERA is disappointing given his excellent walk and strikeout numbers. His FIP is nearly a run lower at 3.26. Opponents are hitting .326 against him with runners in scoring position. Bundy is the opposite. His 3.29 ERA is well below his 4.47 ERA, and allowed .186 BA with runners in scoring position.
The Mets head to Los Angeles were Zack Wheeler draws the Dodgers and Clayton Kershaw. Wheeler pitched better on the road this season, with a 2.76 ERA in five starts. Despite that low ERA he is just 1-0 in those five outings, although the Mets are 3-2. Kershaw makes his 12th career start versus the Mets, and the results for Kershaw against this team are outstanding. He is 7-0 with a 1.29 ERA, with 84 K in 77 innings against the Mets.
