So….just went back and searched all your old stories about the Twins….you consistently said through 2016 that the Twins were better than their record. You pointed out the potential for Sana & Buxton to emerge, and how that the Twins GM job was potentially a good one. Finally….you said that the Twins could return to being competitive much faster than expected. NICE!!!!
The caveat is that the Twins are +5 wins over their Pythagorean projection of wins. If you look at their games spark graph, they tend to lose big and win small, with a 9-4 record in one-run games. They also have a very odd home-road split, 14-20 at home, 20-9 away. All that makes me less confident that they will win the division. If they do, however, I suspect it will be a season that will be dissected for a long time.
