Aaron Judge punctuated the Yankees monterous sweep of the Orioles, going four for four with a walk, a double, and two home runs as the Orioles fall 14-3. The Yankees take the three games by a combined score of 38-8.
Judge now owns a slash line of .344/.450/.718, and for the moment leads the AL in all three triple crown stats. I find it tough to believe he could win a batting title striking out as much as he does, but his BABIP now stands at .432. If he could keep his BABIP at that level and cut his strikeouts in half, he could hit .400. He appears to be so strong that if he just meets the ball square it rockets into the outfield.
I assume the league will adjust to him at some point. However, if Judge adjusts first and brings down his Ks, we might wind up seeing one of the greatest seasons of all time.
