The Yankees go for a split of their series with Cleveland as Luis Severino takes on Carlos Carrasco. Severino pitched better on the road this season, with only four of his 12 home runs coming away. He struck out 80 batters in 69 2/3 innings outside New York. Carrasco owns a 6.40 ERA in four starts since the All-Star break. He’s allowed five home runs in 20 1/3 innings.
Jimmy Nelson battles Chris Archer as the Brewers play the Rays. Nelson is 2-1 with a 2.66 ERA against the American League this season in four starts, striking out 25 and walking seven. Despite allowing 17 home runs in 148 innings, opponents are only slugging .390 against Archer.
