Kluber with a K

Corey Kluber struck out 13 batters Monday night against the Tigers, his 15th ten strikeout game in his last 26 starts. It’s the fourth time he reached at least 13 K in that stretch. Since returning from the disabled in on 6/1/2017, he struck out 251 batters, by far the most in the majors. Chris Sale is next at 213, and should add to that total on Tuesday. Max Scherzer is third and also pitching Monday night, but it looks like he won’t break the 200 mark this evening.

The Indians win 2-0 as Kluber allows two hits and one walk in eight innings. That lowers his ERA to 1.57.
