Based on the Tuesday night box score, I propose renaming the Cleveland American League franchise the Mendozas. Thanks to great pitching, Cleveland beat Detroit 2-1, but every batter in the Indians lineup finished the night with a .200 or below batting average. The season is young, but it’s not that young. They are last in runs per game at 2.8 R/G, and are batting just .158/.252/.284 overall. This should be a much better team. The weather has been bad, but right now, the Cleveland batters are colder than the weather.
