The Houston Astros ended their winning streak in a dramatic way as the bullpen blows a 7-3 lead as Kansas City wins 9-7. Salvador Perez singled with two out in the ninth, and Mike Moustakas delivered a home run to break the tie and end the game.
The Astros bullpen was used heavily during the streak, and they tended to give up extra-base hits while keeping the opposition off base. Tuesday night, they allowed a double and a home run among the six hits allowed, and walked a batter. The extra-base hits were well timed, the double coming with the bases loaded and two out in the eighth.
