The White Sox send Carlos Rodon against the Rays and Blake Snell. Rodon makes his tenth start of the season, and the White Sox might be a few games better if he had been in the rotation all year. He is extremely tough to hit this season, with a .212 BABIP allowed. That explains his 3.24 ERA and 4.56 FIP. Batters have not squared up the ball, as only 14.6% of batted balls against Rodon are line drives. Snell ranks third in the AL in ERA at 2.27. He’s allowed a .077 BA with runners in scoring position, 7 for 91!
The Rockies and Brewers continue their series with Tyler Anderson facing Freddy Peralta. Anderson is undefeated on the road this season, 4-0 with a 3.73 ERA. He allows fewer home runs and walks when he is away from Coors. The rookie Peralta makes his tenth MLB start. He’s walked 26 in 47 1/3 innings, but balances that with 63 K and only 25 hits allowed.
