The Big Difficult

The Phillies rearranged their rotation to get ace Aaron Nola two starts against the Braves down the stretch:

The Phillies shuffled their rotation for this weekend’s series against the Mets at Citi Field, and the move sets up Aaron Nola to face the Braves twice in the season’s final 11 games. Philadelphia plays Atlanta seven times during that stretch, and it could decide who wins the National League East.

Previously, Nola had been scheduled to face Atlanta once. The right-hander is 1-1 with a 2.95 ERA in three starts against the Braves this season.

He has not allowed a home run against the Braves. With Atlanta losing to Boston Wednesday afternoon, a win by the Phillies against the Marlins tonight will cut the Braves lead to two games.
