Alex Bregman homered in Houston’s 7-3 win over the Angels to hold onto first place in the Baseball Musings Batter Rankings. Mike Trout drew a walk in the same game and ranks fourth. Justin Turner went 2 for 3 with a double and a walk for second place in the Dodgers 3-2 win over the Diamondbacks. Paul Goldschmidt went 1 for 3 in that game and ranks fifth.
Third place belongs to Christian Yelich who went 1 for 4 as the Brewers blew a lead after a rain delay to lose to Washington 5-4. After massive defensive changes, the Brewers retired two Washington pinch hitters to start the eighth, but the next five Nationals batters reached base to score four runs.
