The majors leagues are now averaging 8.91 runs per game in 2018. That’s down from 9.35 through 23 weeks in 2017. Home runs, other hits, and walks all remain down while strikeout remain up. August saw more hits than strikeouts, but that has reversed in September as there have been 2160 K, 1980 hits this month.
The last six weeks of offense ranked low compared to the previous three years.
