Saturday saw a number of games finish very close. Nine of the 14 games were decided by two runs or less. Both the Nationals and White Sox walked off, Bryce Harper homering for Washington and Yolmer Sanchez singling home the winning run for the White Sox. This is one of the things I love about baseball. Harper starts the day with a record setting contract, and ends the day with a walk-off home run. Sanchez is just a few months older than Harper, but a terrible hitter in his fourth year in the majors. He owns a career .231/.266/.341 slash line. The backup middle infielder can be the hero, just like the superstar. You don’t see that in other sports very often.
