Games of the Day

The Rays and Indians get things started on Monday as Chris Archer takes on Carlos Carrasco. Archer is showing great power and control this season, striking out 59 batters and walking 16 in 53 1/3 innings. He upped his game so far in May, striking out 22 and walking one in 14 innings in the month. Carrasco has yet to win at home this season, despite a 2.49 ERA. The Indians scored just four runs total in the three games. His four home runs allowed in 21 2/3 innings haven’t helped either.

Arizona hosts the battle of the Zacks as Zack Wheeler and the Mets face Zack Godley. Batters are not hitting well against Wheeler, with a .210/.299/.345 slash line. Opponents are hitting .286 with runners in scoring position, however. Godley did everything right in his first two starts, with 12 K, 4BB and one home run in his first 12 innings.

Enjoy!
