Masahiro Tanaka did not get the memo about performing on Derek Jeter Day, giving up home runs to the first two Astros hitters and hits to four of the first five Astros hitters. The Yankees got a short outing out of Luis Severino in game one, so they don’t need to stretch their bullpen much more. The Astros lead the Yankees 2-0 with two on in the first.
Update: Alex Bregman hits his first home run of the season, a grand slam to put the Astros up 6-0 in the first inning. They are destroying Tanaka.
