Game of the Day

The Cubs and Rockies were hailed out Monday night, so they will try to play on Tuesday. Jake Arrieta takes on rookie sensation Antonio Senzatela. Arrieta’s ERA is up this season. Part of that stems from his higher home run rate, but part of it comes from bad luck with runners in scoring position. In his previous three outstanding seasons, he held batters to a .210 RISP BA, not much higher than his overall mark of .193. This season, he allowed a .265 BA overall, but .400 with runners in scoring position. Senzatela showed great control so far, allowing just eight walks in 38 innings. He also is pitching well at Coors, with a 3.15 ERA in three starts.

Enjoy!
