Mike Trout remains at the top of the Baseball Musings Batter Rankings. He cooled off a little last night as the Rockies continued their winning streak, beating the Angels 4-2. Trout drew a walk in the game. Jose Ramirez, Francisco Lindor, and Mookie Betts remain the top four, but George Springer takes the fifth slot. Edging out J.D. Martinez. Springer had another good outing, 2 for 4 with a double, as Houston beat Oakland 4-2. Martinez went 1 for 4 with a double as the Yankees beat the Red Sox 3-2. Those two teams are now tied for first place in the AL East. The Yankees have now won 16 of 17 games, going on a seven game win streak after their nine-game win streak was stopped. The have beaten the Red Sox, Astros, Indians, and Angels during the streak, all the best teams in the American League.
