Mike Trout remains atop the Baseball Musings Batter Rankings, but his lead narrowed. Trout went 1 for 5 as a DH Sunday while Jose Ramirez posted a 3 for 4 day with his 23rd home run. That ties Trout and J.D. Martinez for the most home runs in the majors. Jose Altuve stands third, with Nelson Cruz fourth and Paul Goldschmidt fifth.
Goldschmidt got off to a rough start this season, but it takes time to fall from a high level, so with his impressive last 17 games, he was able to rise quickly.
