Games of the Day

The Astros go for their eleventh win in a row as Lance McCullers, Jr. faces the Royals and Brad Keller. McCullers already set a single season high for his career with eight in 2017. He’s won five of his eight starts on the road, despite a 5.08 ERA. Keller is just 35 innings into his major league career, with most of his innings coming in relief. He’s very good at limiting power, with just four doubles, one triple, and one home run allowed so far.

The Red Sox and Seattle finish up their series, all three games won by one-run so far. Eduardo Rodriguez faces Mike Leake. Rodriguez is undefeated on the road this season, 3-0 in five starts. He did allow six home runs in just 29 1/3 innings away from Fenway, however. Leake got off to a rough start, but owns a 1.77 ERA in his last five starts. He’s pitching to contact with a K rate of five per nine innings and a walk rate of one per nine innings, but his defense is doing the job behind him.

Enjoy!
