Clayton Richard is working on a no-hitter in the seventh inning. He walks the first batter, but gets the second on a fly out to right, a tough play for the right fielder. He gets the second out on a grounder in the hole that Freddy Galvis turns into a force. That might have been an infield hit with the bases empty.
Miguel Rojas then grounds a ball up the middle for a single. A second hit scores a run. The Padres still lead the Marlins 3-1.
It’s another nice effort by Richard. Since he found his arm slot, Richard is pitching much better.
